Festivals and Events Yearly Calendar


January to February:
  • Tour Down Under- The Aussie’s version of the Tour De France; one hundred of the world’s best cyclists mixed with street parties
March:
  • Adelaide Festivals of Arts- A variety of dance, drama, opera and theater performances.
  • Adelaide Fringe- An independent arts festival.
  • Clipsal 500- Adelaide’s streets become a four day race car track.
  • Womadelaide- One of the world’s best live music events with over 300 performers from around the globe.
April to July:
  • Adelaide Cabaret Festival- This is the only one of its kind in Australia.
  • Adelaide Festival of Ideas- Innovators from around the world descend to Adelaide for a biennial talkfest.
August:
  • South Australian Living Artist Festival- innovative exhibitions and displays.
September:
  • Royal Adelaide Show- Agriculture and horticultural display and entertainment.
October:
  • Bartercard Glenelg Jazz Festival- First Class New Orleans and Australian jazz bands.
  • Classic Adelaide Rally- Beautiful manicured cars.
November:
  • Credit Union Christmas Pageant- For years more than 70 years- floats, and bands take over the streets.
  • Feast Festival- A three week lesbian and gay cultural festival with a carnival, theatre performance, talks and dances.
December:
  • Bay Sports Festival- A large sports fest featuring beach volleyball, and aquathon and a surf carnival.
